Back, back, back again!
Yes, it’s the Fifth Edition of the Twisted Parallels of Cinema here at Father Son Holy Gore. And, hoo baby, are there ever excellent side-by-sides to share again this time around. Your man Father Gore’s been scouring his horror-addled brain and the many, many films(/TV shows) in his personal library to dig up a fresh batch of cinematic parallels for his readers.

This time there’s a mixed bag from all over the place.
We’ve got a little Pablo Picasso v. a Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel, stills from the new Larry Fessenden flick Depraved (a contemporary retelling of Mary Shelley’s groundbreaking novel Frankenstein that only debuted just last month at What The Fest!?), a pair of Psycho references, classical art v. a Danish provocateur, and Stanley Kubrick (The Shining) homages from Season 1 of Bryan Fuller’s NBC series Hannibal.

Needless to say: GREAT stuff ahead.
Previous edition: #4
Next edition (#6) will be entirely focused on the homages present in Syfy’s recently (foolishly) cancelled series Channel Zero. Stay tuned for plenty of interesting side-by-sides. And for the time being, open wide for the 5th Ed. of the Twisted Parallels of Cinema!
