All American Horror Story fans on deck!
Ryan Murphy just shared a (very) brief teaser for the latest instalment of his and Brad Falchuk’s anthology series.
Season 9 is titled: “1984”
As if the 1980s setting weren’t clue enough for genre savvy fans, “1984” makes its slasher inspiration evident in the 45-second long clip, featuring a Jason Voorhees-like man, with a Michael Myers-length knife, stalking a screaming woman— dressed decidedly in ’80s fashion— towards a cabin.
There isn’t much else known about Season 9 as of yet.
Ryan Murphy’s confirmed Emma Roberts will be back, starring alongside Olympic medallist Gus Kenworthy. Evan Peters, for the first time, will not return. It’s probably safe to say Sarah Paulson will show up, despite no official confirmation yet.
Will we see Kathy Bates? What about Denis O’Hare? Father Gore would love to see Finn Wittrock show up again. We’ll have to wait and see what the American Horror Story team serve us up later this year.
Check out the teaser below Murphy posted to his Instagram earlier today.
