Father Son Holy Gore - Mayans M.C. Season 5 - Angel Has Second ThoughtsEZ and Santo Padre are pushing hard on the cartel, now on their new mission of taking the corrupt organisation down. But things have changed a lot, especially for Angel, who’s much more concerned about family and kids now than ever before since discovering he has a living son with Adelita. The Mayans are raiding a drug house, killing everybody inside, and taking all the cartel’s product. It’s not going to be as easy as walking into cartel territory and shooting people up; this is going to cause a war. Below the drug house, Angel finds the cook, but he doesn’t tell the others. Gilly eventually finds the guy anyway. It might not be a good idea for Angel to do things like that. His loyalty could come into question. Or worse, it could come back to violently bite the club in their ass.

There’s no more alone time for Emily and her son, as Miguel threatened in the previous episode. At the store, Emily contemplates running, if only for a brief moment. She counts the steps towards an exit before one of her watchers interrupts with toilet paper. Might she be scoping the place out for a future escape plan? Time will tell. At home, Alvarez is living the family life but he’s clearly disconnected from his family. His mind is elsewhere; very likely on the club.
Speaking of the MC, they’ve got one of the cartel’s cooks now. EZ speaks with the man, Elio. He says the club needs him “to cook.” Elio claims he only assists the actual cook. EZ urges that they need Elio to cook and they’ll pay him well, then Elio can go back to his family again. Once again, the family stuff is hitting harder for Angel because of Maverick. EZ charges Bottles with helping Elio to cook. He also makes clear to Bottles not to speak out of turn, after Bottles tries picking up for Elio a little moments prior. Between Bottles and Angel, there are mixed feelings about things right now. Might not work out well.
Father Son Holy Gore - Mayans M.C. Season 5 - Creeper in PrisonIn prison, Creeper’s back on his feet, however, he’s also extremely vulnerable due to not only other prisoners but Iron War making up most of the guards’ ranks. His situation isn’t enviable. But Creeper isn’t weak, either. He’s standing out in the yard, staking his place amongst the prisoners. For the time being, it seems like the other inmates recognise Creeper’s fearlessness and strength. No guarantee that’ll last.
We also see Felipe at home looking through photos of family. He opens up an old book containing a photo of Miguel from 1987 as a little boy. He’s probably longing for a connection with Miguel that they never got the chance to have. And, as expected, we see Felipe go visit Miguel, who’s with his own little boy. The old man doesn’t get much of a warm reception. He brings Miguel some letters that Miguel’s mother wrote to him. He wants his son to know him, and to know his son. Yet Miguel says he’ll kill Felipe if the old guy comes back there again. A truly fucked up family.

Bottles is helping, or trying his best to help, Elio with a cook, even if he’s a bit of a dummy. He follows along with Elio and lends a hand. It’s a dangerous process. Bottles accidentally knocks one of the pans over on the floor, dropping some chemicals. He’s warned not to touch it, or the consequence is death.
The ever eccentric Lincoln Potter has been called in to the Inspector General’s office to speak with Patricia Devlin. The IG’s found inconsistent accounting from Potter, and Lincoln’s being asked to account for the inconsistencies. But ole Linc is more concerned with the cow on his milk carton than anything else. What a strange man. Lincoln says we have to be careful “what we nourish.” Patricia wonders if she’s being threatened, though Potter insists that’s not true and then condescends to her a little more for good measure.

Agent Lydecker isn’t happy with Katie. She yells at Katie for the whole situation with Creeper. She demands Katie’s badge before receiving a call, and Katie just leaves, handing over her credentials. But Katie takes Lydecker’s swipe card and heads for the records room, planning to keep helping Creeper by finding out the name of the rat within the Mayans club for him. God, that’s gonna be rough when the truth finally leaks its way out. Or maybe Creeper won’t live long enough to find out, or to tell anyone. We jump to Hope at a sketchy house when Leticia busts through the door. They’re in a bad spot at the end of a gun with only a knife. Hope sees a familiar face from Meth Mountain, giving Letty time enough to stab one of the guys, and the two women to flee.Father Son Holy Gore - Mayans M.C. Season 5 - Leticia at GunpointAngel’s looking for advice about being a father and gets some emotional advice from Bishop, who says he’s only there in the club because he has “nothing else.” Bishop said he’d let the whole club burn if it gave him another day with his child. He would leave it all behind him for his son. Elsewhere, EZ meets with Emily at a park. He asks where she’s been and if she’s with Miguel again; all the more awkward since the reveal of Miguel being part of the Reyes bloodline. He really only cares if she’s safe. The last time they were at that park was when EZ got accepted to college. “Everything was ahead of us,” Emily says poignantly. She has one last thing to ask of EZ now: she needs an untraceable, quiet car parked outside the grocery store’s service exit.

Alvarez is up late drinking with Diaz, reminiscing about old times together. “Shit was just more simple back then,” Alvarez remarks. Yet Diaz thinks that’s only because those times are now behind them. They were living crazy and hard back then. Diaz says people dream of what Alvarez has nowadays with a family, a nice house, a nice family. Alvarez mentions the war brewing, and Diaz thinks he should just “leave the dying to the rest of us” and worry about family instead. Curious: will all the craziness happening with Santo Padre eventually force Alvarez to come back, in some capacity?
At the clubhouse, Bottles and Elio present a brick of product that’ll be worth $100K.

Katie’s found the files on the Mayans. She sees the familiar name of Agent Kevin Jimenez, the DEA agent who was EZ’s handler. Shit’s definitely heating up now. There’s also the girl working at the Mayans bar, Jess, whose sister is dating a member of the Sons. Well, the SOA boyfriend comes home and gets violent, prompting the sister to fight back. The SOA boyfriend is worried about Isaac and what he might do because of the missing guns. He’s desperate for info.
EZ’s trying to setup his own pipeline by going to Cole, hoping to take up the cartel’s business. Cole refuses. But EZ stresses their business would take the border out of the equation, minimising a lot of risk. He also wants to take the prison from Iron War. Cole will make a deal if he gets “ten times” the amount of drugs EZ and Angel brought. But at the same time, Tranq gets a call from Creeper with the info Katie found. And Tranq is at the clubhouse steps about to potentially do something very, very drastic.
