Father Son Holy Gore - Mayans M.C. Season 5 - EZ Under PressureEZ and Santo Padre are trying to make a deal with the Asians. He decides to offer “twelve crates” of Russian guns to get what he wants. Not a great idea to send off all those guns while in the midst of a war, however, EZ wants to get this deal done. Afterwards, Tranq finally tells EZ and the others they’ve got a rat. A troublesome development. Angel and EZ are both implicated since Angel’s known about EZ’s involvement with the feds from the beginning. “Right now we survive” is the only thing EZ cares about for the club. He isn’t only attempting to conceal the truth, he’s trying to do that long enough to make sure the Mayans MC will get out of their current jam.

We see more of CM Punk’s Paul when he shows up to get his son. He’s sour about it all, asking whether Paul is fucking his wife yet. Clearly not a happy situation. There’s also Elio, still under the thumb of the Mayans. He and Bottles seem to have gotten close. They’re doing a little yoga in between cooks; one big choreographed routine. And then there’s Emily, who’s planning to go to the park and the grocery store again. Will today be the day she tries escaping Miguel? He doesn’t suspect anything. Emily even makes sure to say “bye” before Miguel leaves. Maybe she’s already said too much.
Bottles gets pushed around by one of the full patches. He tries explaining it’s all part of “being a family” to Elio. But Elio says that isn’t family. They’re definitely becoming closer, Elio and Bottles. Is that necessarily a good thing? Could it compromise things? While Elio and Bottles are taking a break, Lobo is watching the drugs and foolishly tastes some powder he finds. Bottles goes to Sofia and she tries to help, though she urges him to call an ambulance. Everyone comes out and sees what’s going on right as Lobo dies. Sofia attempts to save Lobo, but it’s no use, and there are certainly no paramedics coming. She’s shocked and heartbroken to see nobody’s doing anything.
Father Son Holy Gore - Mayans M.C. Season 5 - Miguel in Massacre HouseOnly days into cooking their own drugs and the Mayans already have a dead brother. Angel asks if they should even be breathing the air nearby the cook house. EZ says they can’t be “worried about one” because if they don’t come through on their deal then everybody will die. He decides to walk off and leave it all in the hands of his club. Far away from there, Miguel is with Soledad in a house full of bodies. She’s angry about Eduardo seemingly going back on their agreement recently. She also thinks it was Eduardo’s men who left her guy in the bathroom when it was Miguel. There’s a lot of sides playing their parts in this whole thing. Add to that Miguel finding a bullet with a Soviet Union marking on it; a connection back to those guns the Mayans have. He also runs into a boy still in the house, a kid from the neighbourhood. The boy said he saw one of the men who killed all those people. He tells Miguel the man he saw had a beard and “looked sad” with slicked back hair “like a movie star.” Surely that’s Angel.

While the Mayans are worried about drugs and money, Tranq has other worries. He’s had to put his mother in a home, and now his mother is falling into a depression, unable to get used to the place. He’s a good son. He tries to cheer mom up and does a decent job of it. They go for a little walk around the place, seeing other seniors there working out and being active. Tranq runs into Nails, who’s working with the seniors there. They catch up a little. Nails says that his world is tough to be part of, and he has to know that.
EZ didn’t just run off from the club. He’s gone back to the Salton Sea, looking to have another meeting with the Broken Saints’ leader, Johnny Panic (Caitlin Stasey). The women of the Broken Saints aren’t welcoming, but for a reason. EZ’s let in to talk with Johnny despite the cold greeting at the gate. He has to help with a little work in order to get time for a chat. He’s come to speak about helping with Johnny’s Iron War situation. He wants to offer the three remaining crates of guns to the Broken Saints. “I read a book once, too,” Johnny taunts when EZ gets a bit intellectual about a life of crime. He laments his hands being bloody. And he reasserts to Johnny that he wants to help her with money and guns to keep them protected. In exchange for what, exactly?!

When Katie goes looking for Agent Jimenez she finds out that he’s just… gone. She only finds a grieving wife who doesn’t have any answers. Although the wife seems ready to help Katie find some answers for both of their sakes. At the grocery store, Emily’s with her handlers while she and her boy casually stroll the aisles. She manages to separate herself and her child, then she moves for the exit. But she’s interrupted by a woman yelling at her, claiming Emily murdered her son. “Murderer!” the woman yells, as Emily and little Cristobal are rushed out of the store.
Sofia gets a visit from Tony, her ex. He tries to tell her to forgive herself for what happened. He’s made to leave by Bottles. The whole thing upsets Sofia, as she’s been dealing with her past tragedy on her own. It can’t help having Tony back in her life, in any way, shape, or form. Who knows where this will go from here. Not just that, Sofia’s angry at EZ for what happened with Lobo because she was brought back to the moment of trying to save her daughter and being unable to, retraumatising her.
Father Son Holy Gore - Mayans M.C. Season 5 - Adelita Kills EduardoThe Mayans meet with the Broken Saints. There’s obviously been a deal struck between the two clubs after EZ and Johnny talked things over. Tranq hears about SAMDINO hitting Yuma. There’s lots of violence coming down. SAMDINO’s slowly circling in on Santo Padre. But they have no guns now. Except EZ plans to use the money from the deal they’re making now to buy many more guns in case of an incoming attack. Meanwhile in Mexico, Adelita sneaks into the home of Eduardo and slits his throat, watching him bleed out all over the floor. She then finds a young girl hiding behind a nearby chair crying. Oh, my…

Santo Padre buries Lobo in a hole someplace. Not quite ceremonial, but that’s the way life is for bikers sometimes. Nobody really liked Lobo, yet he was a brother. Some of the Mayans might be questioning EZ’s direction. Gilly urges them to trust in EZ; if the Prez believes this is the way forward, then this is the way, says Gilly. Plus, they’ve lots brothers before, and plenty of them, and EZ wasn’t Prez then. The life of an outlaw biker is a brutal and violent one, no matter who’s in charge of any particular MC. At least the guns and drugs are off the clubhouse premises.
At home, Katie listens to tapes of Agent Jimenez and EZ.
On one tape, Katie hears about the family connection between Jimenez and EZ. Shit!
