Father Son Holy Gore - Mayans M.C. Season 5 - EZ's Woken UpEZ’s woken up by Guero and Bottles after their return from the blaze at the Broken Saints compound. Quite the way to get up in the morning. At the Reyes house, Felipe and Angel are up to more family stuff rather than being caught up in club business. The old man’s happy to have his son and grandson under his roof, even if the circumstances are, as far as they know, probably not great. Felipe tells Angel: “Youre a good papa … Im proud of you.” He reminisces about him and his wife once being there with him as a baby. Angel asks how Felipe can stay with all the memories. His father responds that those memories belong to them, and that Angel’s mother is always there with him. Angel worries about the hole in Maverick’s life left by Adelita, just like the hole that’s been in his life for years now without his own mother. Felipe urges to not let Maverick be like them: “Dont let him be us.”

Is there anything swirling around in Emily’s head about how to get away from Miguel now? She seems to keep pulling closer to her husband’s right-hand man, Luis. Yet Luis is also incredibly loyal to Miguel. It may not be so safe for Emily to suggest anything to him, even if he’s been very helpful to her. Although Luis is certainly useful while Emily is having new cameras setup at home, as she makes the installer move the camera in a position to block a view of the doorway. Sneaky sneaky?
At the Broken Saints compound, Johnny and the women are reeling from the Sons attack. EZ only cares about their product. He’s concerned about what happens if things with the pipeline get fucked up. Probably a good concern, however, really insensitive at the moment. One of the Broken Saints pulls a gun on EZ after clocking him in the face, and Johnny has to stop her from pulling the trigger. Everywhere EZ goes he leaves a trail of destruction. Right now, not only is the Broken Saints compound wrecked, including human wreckage, Johnny has to take a punishment from her own group to keep EZ from getting shot out there.
Father Son Holy Gore - Mayans M.C. Season 5 - Johnny Panic Saves EZAt the SOA clubhouse, Isaac’s weeping. Apparently Packer has finally died. On top of that are the dead left behind from Leti’s getaway. Terry, the Son that helped Leti and Hope, is getting questioned by his brothers. The story is that the Mayans broke in, killed people, got Hope, and left. Terry’s facing the scrutiny after he only got shot in the arm. But things move quickly, anyway. Isaac wants the Mayans to “feel the pain of losing a brother.”
Elsewhere we see Miguel pushing for “full immunity” with the government and getting laughed at; at least initially. He says he can deliver Potter’s “head on a fucking platter.” He knows just how crafty Potter is, and how hard it is to play the game against the man. He’s attempting to use leverage with Deputy Assistant Inspector General Patricia Devlin to secure immunity for himself and Emily. As proof, he offers up one of the cards he’s holding to show Devlin he’s for real. By the looks of it, she’s pretty happy with it. It isn’t long before Devlin goes to see Potter’s secret wife, where soon Lincoln arrives. Potter calls Devlin “a naive, stunted bitch” and grabs her by the hair. She fights him off, yet he’s pissed off by such a personal attack. She tells him “the storm is coming” for him. Is such a straight-on assault smart with somebody like Potter? He’s a nasty dude. Devlin soon calls Miguel to confirm the deal. That also means he has to tell them everything done under Potter’s guard. That’s a big yikes! Some hair-raising stories to be told there.
Simultaneously, Potter’s meeting with Katie/Kody. He’s read about her issues, so he sees her as useful. Lincoln talks in half riddles as usual. Eventually he dangles the carrot: he can get her back working for the government. Yet Katie’s more concerned about Potter’s involvement in keeping EZ out of jail, which has resulted in… a whole lot of death. Nevertheless, Potter keeps grinding down on Katie, trying to pull her into his web so that he might, somehow, prevent the storm that’s headed for him from hitting too hard. What’s the plan, though? You know it’s devious. And Katie says her one condition to accept is she wants EZ to die. Potter has no issue complying with that.

EZ takes a rough spill on the road and somehow happens to come up behind him. That someone? Wendy Case (Dea de Matteo), the mother of Jax Teller’s child. She helps EZ up off the pavement. She mentions her ex was part of a club, but refuses to tell EZ which one since she doesn’t know if their clubs are cool. She says motorcycles are “fuckin death traps.” She gives EZ a hand putting his bike right side up again. Wendy says she feels bad for EZ’s girlfriend because a biker’s lady never knows if they’re coming home when they leave the house. EZ thinks they “signed up for it,” but Wendy thinks it’s more a case of being “stupid enough to fall in love.” Maybe the truth is somewhere in between for a lot of biker dudes and their significant others. Wendy winds up giving EZ a lift since he can’t get any service out there. They talk more. EZ says it’s like there’s a “grey veil” between him and the world: “Its like I can see the world, but I cant touch it.” Wendy identifies this as trauma.
Father Son Holy Gore - Mayans M.C. Season 5 - Drea de Matteo as Wendy CaseIsaac and the Sons of Anarchy go beating down the door of Angel, who’s thankfully at the family home with Felipe. But things are clearly heading in a bad direction. A while later, Felipe’s nearly taken out when a gunshot blasts through his dining room window. He rushes to grab a gun in his dresser and a sawed-off shotgun underneath the bed, as Isaac and the Sons creep into the house. Isaac eerily calls out Angel’s name. He’s greeted with a shotgun blast from Felipe that takes out one of the Sons. Felipe’s keen killer eyes help him survive, as he guns down another Son, then fires shots to get himself into Maverick’s room. Terry tries convincing Isaac to leave since there’s no sign of Angel, and there’s a child involved, too. Felipe grabs his grandson from the crib and sits by the wall, pointing his gun at the door and firing when the Sons try to get into the room. He took a bullet during the madness, too.

Angel’s surprised when he gets home from the store to see cop cars flashing their lights and crime scene tape everywhere. He angrily runs to the house but cops subdue him until he agrees to keep calm. He’s let go when Maverick is taken out by another officer. Then Felipe’s body is brought out in a body bag while Angel looks on. One more tragedy for the Reyes family; now, Angel and EZ are grown orphans.
